Tiers describe the global build at launch. A developed lower-tier unit can beat an underdeveloped higher-tier one, and a unit that fits your team can beat a higher-ranked unit that does not.
How this list is built
A ranking is only useful if you know what it measures. This list scores the global build at launch, not the Chinese version and not a fully developed account.
Global build first
Placements follow the global skill text and the global character table, not the Chinese build.
Team context matters
A unit is ranked for the team it enables, not in isolation. Burn and Poison specialists need support.
Investment changes the answer
Star levels and duplicates can move a unit several places. Two copies are worth more than one tier step.
Launch window
The game launched on October 15, 2026. Early rankings will move as players test more teams.
What would change the ranking
A tier list is a snapshot. Three things move it fastest:
- 01A balance patch that changes skill multipliers, energy costs, or cooldowns.
- 02A new character who creates a stronger team core or replaces an existing role.
- 03A new boss or event that changes which damage profile matters.
Source note
Rankings reconcile the Gamegoin tier list with the Girls Echo Wiki tier list. The two sources agree on every placement except First Empress, who is treated as A with a flexible slot.
Three teams that work
The tier list tells you which units are strong. These cores tell you which five belong together.

Starter core
Two defensive slots and two healers keep the team alive while Thor handles single-target damage. It clears early story and tower content without needing a rare damage core.

Burn core
Izanami raises the damage burned enemies take while Nezha gains stats against them. Seraph keeps the team up and adds attack, and Pilgrim stops enemy healing from undoing the Burn plan.

Poison core
Luna applies Poison and defensive debuffs, Aries and Hydra turn those stacks into damage, and Dione adds area damage reduction and attack down. The team gets stronger as the fight goes on.

The launch window gives you a lot of free currency. Spend it in this order and you avoid the two common mistakes: spreading EXP across the roster and pulling without a target.

Girls Echo tier list questions
Who is the best character in Girls Echo?
Amaterasu and Medusa share SSS tier. Amaterasu is the strongest tank because she combines self-healing, a revive, Charm control, and a damage cut. Medusa is the strongest healer because she revives each ally once and adds 30% team damage reduction. Build either one if you pull her.
Is this tier list for the global version?
Yes. The rankings cover the global build as of October 19, 2026. The Chinese version places several characters differently, and the global build is the one this site tracks.
Should I reroll in Girls Echo?
Reroll if you want a stronger start and do not mind repeating the tutorial. Medusa is the safest target, Amaterasu is the second target, and a run takes about 8 to 10 minutes. Stop after 3 to 5 runs instead of chasing the 0.08% SSR+ rate.
Can a lower-tier character beat a higher-tier one?
Yes. Duplicates drive star upgrades, and a developed A-tier unit with copies can outperform an underdeveloped SS-tier unit without them. Team synergy matters too, especially in Burn, Poison, and Fracture teams.
What team should a new player build?
Start with one tank, one healer, two damage slots, and one flex slot. Amaterasu, Medusa, Aether, Thor, and Athena make a stable first team. Move toward a Burn, Poison, or boss core once you have the key characters and enough copies to develop them.
How often is the tier list updated?
The list is checked after balance patches, new character releases, and major event changes. The date at the top of the page is the last review date.
